Queen Elizabeth II is being watched by medical professionals

According to the most recent information, doctors are "concerned for Her Majesty's health" and are monitoring Queen Elizabeth II, according to a statement from Buckingham Palace.

The palace issued a statement saying, "The Queen is happy and at Balmoral."

The 96-year-old monarch should continue to reside under close medical supervision at her castle in Scotland, according to the doctors.

The next in line to the throne and oldest child of the Queen, Prince Charles, is said to have travelled to Balmoral with his wife Camilla. The Queen's grandson, Prince William, is also travelling to Scotland.

The announcement comes a day after the monarch was instructed to rest and called off a virtual meeting of her Privy Council.

She had been seen the day before appointing Liz Truss as the new prime minister of the United Kingdom at Balmoral Castle.

The Queen received Liz Truss at Balmoral Castle today. Her Majesty asked her to form a new Administration. Ms. Truss accepted Her Majesty's offer and was appointed Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury.

Liz Truss, the new prime minister of the UK, tweeted that she was thinking of the Royal Family. Following a meeting with the queen on Tuesday that unusually took place in Balmoral rather than London's Buckingham Palace, she officially assumed her position.

The Queen, who has been the head of state for the longest in Britain, recently celebrated her Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of leadership. The longest-serving royal consort in history, her husband Philip, passed away last year at the age of 99.

Speaker Lindsay Hoyle briefly interrupted the House of Commons' proceedings with a statement, and the BBC paused its regular programming to report the news.

Her Majesty the Queen and the Royal Family are currently in our thoughts and prayers, and I know I speak on behalf of the entire House when I say that. Hoyle said.
